If you are considering taking a step into the competitive world of application development then Microsoft .Net and C# are essential skill sets. FDM’s training will provide you with the technical and practical experience required to succeed in the workplace.
C# provides a powerful, feature-rich language for developing applications using the .Net framework, which is a key component of Microsoft Windows. Through seminars, workshops and one-to-one mentoring with supporting reading material and online training videos, FDM’s experienced trainers will teach you the C# language. You will also be introduced to object-oriented design and programming.
With a solid knowledge of the basics achieved, you will then work your way through modules focusing on different areas of the .Net framework, including ADO.NET and ASP.NET.
By the end of the course you will have completed two significant applications as a .Net programmer demonstrating tiered application design, managing dependencies and risk of change unit testing and test driven development, as well as desktop application development, website development and web services.
Do I have what it takes?
Successful candidates will have an IT related background, although disciplines such as mathematics, physics and engineering are also considered. A passion for technology and the IT industry is essential, and an analytical mind and a problem solving approach are also desirable attributes. You should also demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness through understanding the current and emerging developments within the industry.
What’s in it for me?
Aside from learning the fundamentals of being a successful .Net developer, candidates will work towards Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) status. There is also the chance to complete an MSc in Applied Computer Science from the University of Brighton fully funded by FDM, whilst also gaining valuable commercial experience when working for one of our prestigious clients.
Development offers a wide range of responsibilities and tasks so there could be a variety of roles available once your training has been completed. FDM also aims to place you in a role that utilises your strengths, and one that will give you the opportunity to excel.
